TIER 1 POST-STUDY WORK VISA BASIC REQUIREMENTS
The basic requirement for this visa is to score a minimum of 95 points for attributes including UK qualification, study at a United Kingdom institution, and immigration status during UK study and/or research, date of award of the qualification, English language, and available maintenance (funds).
TIER 1 POST-STUDY WORK VISA ENTITLEMENTS
Applicants who are granted residence under the Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa are permitted to live and work in the UK for a period of two (2) years. No further or subsequent grant can be made under this category.
The Tier 1 Post Study work visa provides a bridge to skilled or highly skilled work and the applicant would be expected to switch into another part of the points-based system as soon as they are able to do so. Eligible dependants may also qualify to be included and upon obtaining the visa, May also work or study without any restrictions.
Tier 1 (Post Study Work) visa holders do not have recourse to public funds. As a guideline, they should be able to show that they have sufficient funds for about three months without needing to work or fall back on public funds.
